The digital brand handbook from MerkBrouwers

Connect your brand directly to your favourite AI assistant.

Give Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor access to your visual identity, guidelines and brand files. No need to gather logos, colours and brand rules for every prompt.

  • Read-only access
  • Your access permissions
  • Brand data from your portal

Your brand as living context in your AI workflow

AI can write, design and code. But it does not know your brand by default. With the Model Context Protocol (MCP), your assistant can retrieve the brand data you are allowed to view. No more pasting PDFs, colour codes and style rules into every chat.

What can your AI assistant retrieve?

Five read-only tools. Your assistant can consult information, but cannot change anything in your brand portal.

List brands

list_brands

Lists the brands your account is allowed to view.

Brand overview

get_brand_overview

Returns brand completeness, available sections and the team.

Guidelines & identity

get_brand_guidelines

Retrieves brand colours, fonts, brand identity and notes.

Design system

get_brand_design_system

Reads the design system, fonts, text styles and logo usage rules.

Logos, files & templates

get_brand_assets

Returns accessible brand files, templates, labels and version status.

From brand rules to everyday work

For content creators

“Write a LinkedIn post about our new product using our brand guidelines. Include the brand colours for the visual.”

Your assistant can retrieve the guidelines before drafting a proposal. You review the result.

For designers & developers

“Build a button and banner using our brand’s design system.”

Cursor can use the available text styles, fonts and logo rules when creating your design or code.

An AI connection is not a brand check

AI connection via MCP

In your external AI assistant, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor.

Retrieves brand data as context for your copy, design or code.

Brand & tone-of-voice check

In your brand portal’s Social Planner.

Checks draft posts against your brand style and tone of voice before publication.

How to connect your AI assistant

  1. 1

    Open your brand portal

Sign in and check the AI and MCP integration settings available for your account.

  2. 2

    Add the connection

Use the connection details from your portal in an AI client that supports MCP. Follow that client’s sign-in and consent steps.

  3. 3

    Use your brand as context

First ask your assistant which brands are available. Then retrieve the guidelines or files for the right brand.

MCP support and settings vary by AI tool and subscription. Never share access codes or personal tokens in a chat.

Your brand comes with you into your AI tool.

Less copying. Less searching. The right brand rules at hand when you need them.
